Ecofeminist Interventions in La Prosperitat
On June 12, we organized a non-mixed 饾悇饾悳饾惃饾悷饾悶饾惁饾悽饾惂饾惒饾惉饾惌饾悶饾惉 饾悎饾惂饾惌饾悶饾惈饾惎饾悶饾惂饾悳饾悽饾惃饾惂 encounter, together with the feminist collective Manada Periferika and La Creatura, ReDproductora Feminista, at La Prosperitat neighborhood in Barcelona.
This enconunter is part of the Climate and Care Shelter Network project that we developed together with Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability and that won the 8 March award from Barcelona City Council in 2020.
More than 40 women of different ages, backgrounds… and 9 children and adolescents worked on the day. We carried out actions to build removable artifacts that generate shade in the square, awnings with banners, different interventions to increase vegetation around the square and we built a bench.
It was an incredible day of community work, many thanks to all the colleagues who put their effort and love into improving our urban environments from an ecofeminist perspective.
