Sara Carbonell Curralo

Social integrator (2015), Social Educator (2020) and postgraduate in Community Mental Health (2021). Trained in gender perspective and sexist violence among other topics, I have developed my professional life around health education, with various entities and collectives, especially in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, substance use and mental health. I also work as a lecturer on this subject at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

For years, I also studied Architecture (ETSAV and UPC), until I changed it for the social field, because I found closer proximity to people and the possibility of social transformation. Later I discovered that there is life beyond the technical aspect of Architecture, and that feminist and intersectional perspectives provide revolutionary ways of conceiving cities and housing. For this reason, since 2022 I have been collaborating with Col·lectiu Punt 6, contributing to the work on the impact of urban planning on the health of women and minority groups, applying the feminist perspective to accessibility, and providing support for projects.

Currently, I am an activist in popular structures linked to education and critical pedagogies and the fight for housing.
