Ecofeminist housing communities

“Comunitats ecofeministes d’habitatge. Estratègies contra les crisis climàtiques i de cures” (Ecofeminist housing communities. Strategies to overcome the climate and care crisis) is a feminist collective action-research project between communities, associations and people whose main objective is to support in different areas eco-feminist housing communities that exist in our context and that are generating  tools and strategies to enable access to community housing projects to women and people with other gender identities.

The Ecofeminist Housing Communities seek to break the dichotomy between public and private space to propose alternatives for social organization from an ecosystemic perspective, developing proposals based on the configuration and management of space for the co-responsibility of care, the ecological transition and the efficient management of people’s emotional and material resources, to be able to guarantee dignified lives for everyone.

This project has been developed with the support of the 2022 call for Grants for Singular Projects for the Promotion of the Social and Solidarity Economy of the Department of Business and Labor of the Government of Catalonia.
